Abstract Submission Guidelines

Submission

Abstracts must be submitted online through the official submission platform. Submissions sent by email or any other channel will not be considered. The submitting author is responsible for ensuring that all information provided is accurate and complete.
The final submitted version will be published as submitted.

Language

Abstracts must be submitted in Portuguese or English, and must be written clearly and correctly.

Scientific Topics

  1.   Epidemiology and Clinical studies
  2.   Vectors, Ecology and Environment
  3.   Diagnosis, Surveillance, Laboratory and Resistance
  4.   Interventions, Policy, and Public, Global and One Health
  5.   Innovation, Technology and Health Data
 
The Scientific Committee may reassign the topic, if necessary.

Abstract Structure

All abstracts must include the following information:

Authors: No word limit 
Affiliation: No word limit
Title: Up to 25 words
Abstract

Abstract must follow the structure below:
•  Background and aims
•  Methods
•  Results
•  Conclusions and impact

Keywords: Up to 5

Abstract Format

Maximum length: 250 words 
Formatting: Arial, size 11, single-spaced
• 
Images, tables or graphs are not allowed
• 
Avoid unexplained abbreviations and trade names
• 
Scientific names should follow standard nomenclature and formatting.
• 
Use SI units.  
• 
Scientific names must follow international nomenclature standards and be formatted according to the applicable scientific conventions.

Type of Presentation

The author must indicate the preferred presentation format: 

•  Oral Presentation
•  Poster  
The final decision regarding the type of presentation rests with the Scientific Committee.

Evaluation Criteria

Abstracts will be evaluated based on: 

•  Scientific quality
•  Clarity and methodological rigor
• Relevance to the congress 
•  Originality
Abstracts that do not comply with the guidelines will be rejected.

Registration

•  Each abstract will only be considered if at least one of the authors is registered for the Congress.
•  Registration of the presenting author is mandatory for inclusion in the program and the abstract book.
• 
There is no limit to the number of authors per abstract, nor to the number of abstracts in which a researcher may be listed as a co-author. However, each participant may be designated as the presenting author for a maximum of two (2) abstracts.  

Ethics and Integrity

•  The work must be original and comply with applicable ethical standards. 
•  Any conflict of interest must be declared..
•  The author guarantees that the content does not violate the rights of third parties. 

Publication

Accepted abstracts will be published in the Congress Abstract Book. No changes will be permitted after final submission.
